this project was done in conjunction with Rob Napier who provided the expert knowledge on ship rigging while I provided the conservation and hand skills to complete the project.

This project was done at the behest of the owner, Dr. Henry Kriegstein who has kindly allowed me to include it in my portfolio.

Paper ship model by A. Walker 1762. Paper rigging was disintegrating and some areas of glue had failed.

Rigging was repaired or replaced using paper, cotton or silk thread or brass rod, which were all color matched to the original.
