Hello!

My name is Jessica van Dam and I am an objects conservator working in the New England area. While I do not currently have a specialty my interests lie primarily in Korean Cultural Heritage, Ship Models, and Egyptian Mummies. I have worked both within a museum setting and as a private contractor with both simple and complex projects. I enjoy both solo and collaborative projects, the most recent of which was the conservation and restoration of a ship model made entirely of paper by A. Walker in 1762, where I worked with ship model expert Rob Napier.

On this website you will find a selection of objects and projects on which I have worked, writing examples in the form of treatment reports and both of my master’s theses, an overview of my academic qualifications and my contact information. Please explore, and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
